3.11mile run not showing up as 5k best PR

Just yesterday I ran my best 5k tracked on my Fitbit (with gps tracking) and when I uploaded it to intervals it does not track it as being a 5k. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is super disheartening :frowning:

Ohhh okay, thank you so much for the reply! Now I know I’ll just aim for a little over my goal to make sure it counts it :grinning:

If you are using GAP in Intervals, try to use unmodified speed. You may be falling short a couple meters when displaying GAP results.

Oh okay, I think the GAP is the issue because it for some reason is saying I climbed like 600’sh ft when it was only 12ft. Thanks for spoting that!

You actually did 5007m. There were a bunch of missing distance records at the and that was throwing out the best pace search. I added a workaround and your best 5k is now showing up.

Omg you are the greatest! Thank you so much
Next run I’ll definitely make sure to run further since my fitbit must be rounding up for distance

I would say nearly all devices / apps will do this to some extent. GPS is only as accurate as xx meters. And Strava, for sure, i know does this. Many times I’ve come home from a 100km ride and strava says 99.8km

Run with the Strava app on phone. It used to give extra 100m ++ after stopping. Gives a boost to PR feel.
