Welness: injury field

I (unfortunately) just realised that there’s not a field in wellness data for Injury. Like the other fields, a graded scale, i.e. healthy-well-nighle-injured, would be helpful.
:+1:

Documenting an injury is currently covered by adding a specific injury note on the day (and it being visible on the fitness page etc…).

I agree, having an field in the wellness day where you could track how your injury is improving (and thus correlate it with training you are, or are not, doing via separate plots on the fitness page) would be beneficial.

@david , would you be opposed to putting an injury field range in the Wellness data so that we can track over time the range from healthy - niggle(s) - slightly injured - injured?

I will try get that done.

Can you give me a 5 point scale for this please. I only do cycling so don’t know about all this niggle business that runners get.

Why the 5-point scale? The other scales use 4-point.
Anyway, I asked Alan for input. Here’s what he said:

I like to add a dimension of whether activity makes it worse e.g.

  • Healthy
  • Niggle that goes away when warmed up
  • Tightness/tenderness noticeable through activity but doesn’t affect gait
  • Notice some change in gait/form
  • Unable to train

2 would be a sign for extra attention/prehab
3 and above would be a sign to change the training

Sorry should have said 4 point. Which one to leave out? Tx

Trying to keep it to one word to match current Wellness usage:
Health

  1. Excellent
  2. Fair, i.e. a niggle that goes away when warmed up
  3. Poor, i.e. tightness/tenderness that doesn’t go away
  4. Injured, i.e. gait changed required or worse

Thoughts?

Sounds good. Will probably use “Niggle” instead of fair because its a cool word.

I have added “Injury”:

Sweet. Thank you!

My naming suggestions:

Poor = Slighlty injured
None = Heatlhy

The problem with “Slightly injured” is that it won’t fit even in English and many languages take up more space.
