Hi @david
I’m seeing unusual running pace data on import to Intervals from Strava. I recently updated my watch to a Coros Pace 2 and not sure if the watch specific data has anything to do with it, but the graph looks like something from an earthquake richterscale rather than a steady pace as would be expected.
I understand pace will vary somewhat but comparing the graphs from Intervals to both strava and final surge is showing a dramatic difference. Is there something going on with smoothing?
Let me know if you want additional activity data for reference.
Regards,
Dan
Hmm. Intervals.icu will only smooth the velocity data when there are more data points than pixels on the display so mostly it is presented as is. If you download the “Ride CSV” (https://intervals.icu/activities/5222605513/data) you can see it is all over the place. The “velocity_smooth” column is what was received from Strava.
Maybe I should smooth the velocity data for runs or at least make this an option?
Seems to be something strange with Strava data specifically. Data imported into Intervals from Garmin, FS, or Coros all match and display a much smoother trace so I assume they may be smoothing it prior to display or export whereas Strava is not. Perhaps you could try adding an option to smooth the data and see how that looks?
Something seems odd in my pace data. I don’t believe I ever ran a 4sec 100m. This “All-time” seems to imply that it was from a run on 1/9/2022, but I don’t see a run activity on that date?
Appreciate your help.
If you click on the 0:04 time, it should take you to the activity page where it comes from.
Might be a GPS signal problem.
If you don’t see any activity that day, check if you have hidden commutes??

Found and corrected. I ran a race that day in a downtown area, so my GPS and pace was incorrect. The data in the file is incorrect, so I flagged this to ignore for pace and distance. Thanks for the quick reply!
