[SOLVED] Hammerhead to Intervals.icu (Use Suunto as middleman)

What is the easiest way to upload activities registered in Hammerhead-Karoo to Intervals.icu? I’m wondering if there is an automatic method that doesn’t force me to download each FIT file and upload it to Intervals.
I know it can be done through Strava but I understand that it is a paid option on Strava. Is that so?
Thanks in advance for helping a dummie.

I don’t own a Hammerhead but may still be able to help.
If the Hammerhead can sync to Dropbox you can sync Dropbox with Intervals.

As far as I know Hammerhead does not have an option to download to DropBox automatically, you have to download each FIT file.
These are the options I know of available in Hammerhead:

You can upload activities to Suunto and sync from there to Intervals

I have both Strava and Suunto connected to Intervals, which is smart enough to integrate both streams. Suunto allows some extra metrics to flow through that Strava doesn’t handle (around power L/R balance etc, as I recall). Also, the integration with Strava does not require payment but they do only expose rudimentary data for free. Suunto will pass everything from the Karoo.

I have the Hammehead Karoo and this is exactly how I have everything working

Glad to help!

I had meant to clarify that you do not have to own any Suunto devices for this configuration, thanks to the partnership between Hammerhead and Suunto. You only need to set up a Suunto account and configure it on Hammerhead and Intervals.

It’s already working.
Thank you all. Intervals.icu is also a great community :grinning:

Thank you for the help. This all works great, but it can’t seem to automatically get all existing (old) workouts exported from the Hammerhead (Dashboard) to Suunto. I can do it automatically for new activities, and manually for existing (one by one).

Is there a way to either publish/push all activities to Suunto, or from Suunto to import all ?

Thanks!

Good question Frederik - since I use Suunto only to feed new data from my Hammerhead to Intervals, I haven’t looked into the backfill process. Once I get through a final exam tomorrow, I’ll see if I can find a way to do that.

Thank you!

FYI I Just got reply from hammerhead support:

“If you link Suunto the Dashboard and the Automatic upload is turned on, your next rides will be automatically synced to Suunto. However, you have do it one by one for the past rides.”

Do we know if intervals.icu plan a link directly to Hammerhead, like Garmin connect etc ?

As far as I can tell they do not have a public API for this.
