DFA a1 threshold detection — rebuilt for trust — Your aerobic (LT1) and anaerobic (LT2) thresholds estimated from HRV now report only when you actually held that intensity long enough. A contiguous-dwell gate replaces the old logic that could build a “threshold” out of scattered seconds. The aerobic-threshold marker is corrected to the literature value (HRVT1 at DFA a1 0.75, per Rogers et al.), and there are now three self-describing markers — an easy-state guard, LT1, LT2 — each with a reason code, so a blank estimate means “not sustained,” not “sensor problem.”
There is at least here in this forum an over four year old thread, and even back then there was this clear statement and common agreement, that you can‘t use a fixed thresold marker (0.75).
I think we are talking about totally different things, the respiratory rate we calculate has nothing to do with counting breaths, we calculate the sinus respiratory rate, which is a different concept and is calculated through rr intervals.
Thresholds are not calculated through Dfa-alpha-1 and even less with standard values of 0.75 and 0.5, just as nobody calculates lactate thresholds in 2 mmol and 4 mmol, the sinus respiratory rate has a high correlation with the behaviour of lactate, so we can…
