I really like using multi-day ‘Notes’ for marking up training plans I’m in etc, as it makes the Fitness chart even more glanceable as below.
However, I also like syncing intervals.icu to my regular calendar so that I can look at my calendar and easily spot any clashes between my running life and my regular life and then shuffle things around back in intervals.
The question is - is it possible to create something that has results in a similar look to the multi-day Notes in the Fitness charts, BUT, doesn’t create a multi-day calendar event…maybe an option to add something with a start and end date, but only end up with a calendar entry on those start and end dates, but with a graphic that would span them similar to the current multi-day Notes?
I think what I want for this new type of Note is for the Fitness graph to look exactly as it does for a multi-day Note today, but in the Calendar (in Intervals and for remote sync), just show an entry on the ‘start’ and ‘end’ dates only (and NOT on every day in between)…if that makes sense.
(but definitely keep the current Notes functionality too!).
Either that - AND/OR - if a Note that is attached to a single day only could perhaps result in a flagpole with a label appearing in the Fitness chart (today you get nothing unless your Note finishes on a different day to what it started).
Another way that might be easier is to have a check box in the existing Notes for “Display on 1st Day Only”.
A multi-day note which only appears in the Calendar (Intervals and any external sync) on the start date, BUT, which is visualised on the Fitness chart in full.
I guess my underlying driver is that I want to maintain external Calendar sync so I can check for clashes of planned activities and races alongside my ‘non active’ normal calendar…but I really want to use Intervals to forward plan my entire year similar to the TrainingPeaks ATP, dropping in all races, drop in specific race plans where I bother for them (for marathons and for some key races I want to try and peak at), and otherwise just set up nicely visualised labels around those plans which give me some generic guidance on what I should be doing in between.
(and then I’ll stop paying for TrainingPeaks when my subscription ends in a couple of months, and start paying you!)
Ok thats not hard. Will try get that done. I am busy making all the fitness calculations completely server side which will include showing future fitness for targets. This will also make all this info available through the API.
