Left/Right power on single sided PM

Hello ,
I have observed that all my power data is shown like L/R: 0/100 although I have a single PM on my left crank arm. I am importing data directly from Wahoo.
Is there anyway how I can change it?
Its not important but out of interest.
Thank you
Marian

What do you mean all?

It says 100% right. But should be 100% left as the PM is on the left crank arm.

you may find more info here on why it is or if it’s a bug. It was just too long for me to scan everything thru. I don’t quite care about LR nowdays (esp since my Duo’s battery died on the right side)

I’ve got this too with one of my one-sided power meters, it’s even a little weirder, it’s on my left/non-drive side but in FIT files it records my power as if it’s 100% on the right side.

Not much you can do about it but it’d be nice if Intervals.icu could automatically ignore all-left or all-right power reports.

My Stages Power L (left side only) rides have the power track but not balance, so intervals doesn’t include the Balance chart or field.

Things to check:

  • Is your Power Meter paired in ANT+ or in BLE?
  • If ANT+, I wouldn’t know what’s going on because the ANT+ protocol handles all this very well
  • If BLE, check the app to configure what should be set for your situation. Most apps have some ‘obscure’ settings like ‘Double Single Sided Power’, ‘Send Unified L/R’ versus ‘Send both over separate channel’

There are still a lot of quirks in the Power Meter BLE protocol and different manufacturers provide different solutions.

Thank you. I am going to take a look into this.
