# Lap creator at the workout builder sintaxe

HI David,

would be possible to include a Lap creator at the sintaxe?  
More than the lap itself when playing using Golden Cheetah I find the “two bell ring” at the beginning and end of an interval very usefull.  
At Golden Cheetah the sintaxe is like this:

A “L”

12x30s@295r1m@92L

10m@92L

resulting:

17.00 LAP  
17.00 45  
17.00 128  
17.50 LAP  
17.50 128  
17.50 40  
18.50 LAP  
18.50 40  
18.50 128  
19.00 LAP  
19.00 128  
19.00 40  
20.00 LAP  
20.00 40  
20.00 128  
20.50 LAP

etc…

PS: I have not idea if other workout plays do that.

Does anyone have a link to some info regarding LAP in mrc files? I googled a bit and didn’t turn up anything explaining what it does or how it works. Tx.

Not sure if this helps but [here](https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/blob/0d0cf429180c8b9109694a02bc7be65e6b3ecc4b/src/Train/ErgFile.cpp#L482) is the parsing code in GC.

the exemple above was taken from a mrc file generated by Golden Cheetah.
