Is intervals.icu useful for a low/no-tech runner?

Normally I’d try something out and see if it works for me but I can’t even work out how to enter a workout so am asking here lol.

I only run and don’t have a smartwatch, HR monitor, GPS, phone, etc. My tracking is simply distance/time of a run or per rep, and HR taken at the end of the run or last rep with two fingers on the neck. I took up the sirpoc Norwegian singles method a few months ago (I’ll assume ppl here are familiar with that) and so now also track TSS/CTL/ATL using the same distance/time info.

Given this low-tech setup, is intervals.icu likely to provide much more than I can already do in Excel based on the datapoints above, or is it probably not going to be worth it? I see some amazing charts but guess they’re using continuous pace/HR from Garmin watches and so on.

Click on any day you want to add your activity. Click on Run and change the category from “Workout” to “Manual activity”:

Enter a Name, the Duration (Format is “1h5m10s” for 1 hour 5 minutes and 10 seconds) and the Distance. Press OK and you’re done.

If you previously set a threshold pace on the settings page (Run Tab), then the Load should be calculated for that run, based on your average pace, and the fitness values will be calculated from that.
That way, you can for example even track your running distance and time over months and years.

You can also set RPE for each activity, allowing interesting chart creation

In a case like this, personally I would stick with excel. But using Intervals as your training log is not nonsense at all. The calendar view is very practical and you have space to let notes, RPE and feel graphs, etc. And, if someday you go tech, you will be consistent having everything already here!

Thanks Gabriel, I thought that might be the case. Thanks also R2Tom for explaining how to enter a workout, thought I was just being dim
