Intervals Pro - AI Augmentation for Intervals!

Hi, I have a question, both here and Claude MCP, regarding some Activity_id and get_activities data; it doesn’t pull data like RPE, and also other fields like ss_cp, ss_w_prime, etc. (I’ve tried several ways but it doesn’t seem to find this data, only the “basic” activity data). can you cnfirm?

Yes, very much an augmentation. As a coach you can give way more insight into the bits of an athlete that aren’t recorded in intervals (nutrition, temperament, lots of other stuff!). It would also allow a coach to quickly check in on multiple athletes, and essentially focus on the ‘coaching’ bit, rather than data aggregation, checking, reviewing etc. I see it as a very powerful data cruncher. Of course LLMs are great, but they don’t know what makes an individual tick which is where coaches are fantastic.

Let me look into this!

UPDATE: huge QOL update:

  • prompt library
  • auto model switching with a fast/medium/big
  • doubled the daily budget (may live to regret haha)

Final update for the weekend:

  • Message Sharing: Share AI responses via unique public links (/shared/{id})

  • Message Feedback: Thumbs up/down rating system on AI responses with optional feedback text on negative ratings

Thanks for all the feedback and reports and information!

Well, the chat is almost ok, I managed it to make a 2 week plan for me. But it didnt applied the plan to Intervals after several dry runs. Request a feature to fill CHO/h parameter for planned training session. It does calculate quite well, if I ask it to do that. Will it learn from it’s users? Cause the initial workouts were pretty basic, but after multiple corrections I’m pretty happy with the result.
You should provide some kind of a trial to people anyway - they wont pay for a cat in a bag. And then some kind of tiers maybe. Cause one will need only a short training plan, while other will need detailed comments on every workout and year-long planning.

Apparently can’t read activities coming from Strava which is a bit of a bummer. Otherwise look interesting, now not sure about the pricing, first it’s 3,5x what intervals.icu, then it makes it more expensive than any other platform out there already using AI…

Hi!
He’s (AI) having trouble displaying tables, which are rendered as text written in long sentences. After clarifying, he admitted it was a bug and a limitation. He also didn’t know exactly what Efficiency Factor was. After my training and a link to the study, he started writing correctly. Since I already have a training plan, I can use this model as an analyzer. Understanding its effectiveness and usefulness (to pay for it) takes time. Also, many people are currently in pre-season training, which is not yet the most active phase, and there’s not enough data for analysis. Just like me and others already have a paid GPT chat, I need to figure out if I want to pay for it again. If all this were integrated into the interval.icu itself (for which I and others pay a little), that would be a real gem.
My apologies for my poor English; I’m not a native speaker.

I think it should NOT be integrated in i.icu – see a “short version” of my thoughts here:-o)

Maybe I expressed myself incorrectly. I’d rather not have to go to a separate website. I’d rather just open Intervals Pro (or another assistant) directly on the Intervals page, perhaps from a menu or tab, or something else.

Ah – fully agree!

Please “upvote” and amend the ideas I put out at the link above:-)

Thanks everyone. Bugs and issues all being collected and reviewed.

Lots to improve please bear with me I’ll extend the trial.

With regard to cost - to use chatgpt with something this competent and specific you’d need to pay for api key usage - which is similar to what I’m paying here. I have specifically picked and tuned with certain models including ones in the Google/anthropic stables. I don’t plan to make money on the ai - I will use stripe metered billing and then our platforms growing ai usage efficiency will be a benefit!

So my plan is a monthly platform cost coverage, and then pay as you go. I’m still reviewing the usage etc. I don’t want light users paying for heavy ones. We will retain free trial whatever happens but I may have to reduce it to 2 weeks.

Features and bug fixes inbound this week.

Please keep sharing the platform with friends the more feedback the better.

Please also use the message feedback feature!

Thanks everyone!

Hi, I decided to bite and asked the tool to create a simple 8-week half-marathon plan starting on Jan 19th, 2026. It should sync it directly to my account (whether it can do it or not, I don’t know)

After many moons and chats dancing around the moon, the super agent has spent each and every iteration thinking how it would create the “tool calls” and what the “developer” had intended.

It has not generated a single line or “tool calls”, although it has mentioned some of the names of the API calls. It was an endless pointless loop trying to get it to generate the plan for “intervals.icu”, either directly or giving the code.

A final call to generate the call in text form, forgetting the “tool calls” has immediately yielded a plan. Still not what I wanted, because it has started looking for my lactate threshold rate, which was not part of the asking.

Not my cup of tea for sure.

Looks interesting, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately all my activities are sync’d via Strava (mostly from Lezyne GPS / Huawei smart watch / Zwift, with only the latter having a direct intervals.icu link) so API can’t share them. From now till February-ish most of my riding will be indoors. I can easily have those logged directly to intervals.icu at least. Will try it again in a month or so

Thanks for the feedback! Yes this is my bad I’ve made creation a bit difficult for the ai. Working to refine it. It’s not the easiest work so please do bear with me!!!

WORKOUT CREATION: working on a regression test for this, it’s sooo easy to break when fixing other stuff. Hopefully in the next version it will be massively improved.

Ragh that’s your data to do with as you please. As users we should be harder on Strava for sure.

I have used the tool this afternoon to plan my ATP with few Races (A, B and C) and I uploaded the first week. I noticed few issues:

  • I was forced to create the Triathlon races manually in Intervals (as we all know intervals does not support race type as “Triathlon”, but we need to add it as “Other”)
  • The swim workout are not properly formatted. The format for swimming workout should include, for each step, the meters and the pace. In addition you should consider that swim laps are dependent from the pool lenght: for instance my preferred pool is 33m long (altrough standard are 25 or 50). As such the workout step should be multiple of the pool lenght.

Amazing thanks! Big planning feature coming soon! Next few days will include this.

When a proposed workout is very long, the display overflows vertically and cannot be scrolled.
