Is there a way to get a list of my best 20 minute, 30 minute and 60 minute efforts from all my rides over a set time period?

So if I had 100 activities in the time period, with rides ranging from 30 to 180 minutes - it would give me the top 100 power outputs for these times?

I’d like to do something looking at analysing improvements over a set time period, so whilst this functionality is great it doesn’t allow me to get at this kind of data without a lot of manual work looking at each activity

Quite a few ways of doing this.

But if your plan is look look at improvements over time then I would create a custom chart on the fitness page and make use of the ‘Best Power’ type.

Here’s a mock example for 5m showing the as is values and a 21d moving average, can vary the moving average or change to weekly maxes etc. Can change the time or add lots of times to one chart…

Thanks @Ben this was perfect. I tried to generate something in the compare tab, but makes sense why it’s in this tab.

what did you do to get the range in the moving average? I can’t seem to get that

Click the dot dot dot icon for the plot next to the colour squares and fill in the band parameter:

Thanks @david this was really helpful and looks great.

I’ve used a combination of the charts I’ve created in intervals and also exported some data to load into chatgpt to find some insights. Really interesting and positive to see how I’ve progressed over the last 2 years.

Thanks for everything you are doing!

Is there anything that can done to improve the ‘find intervals’ feature?
See the example below. It’s something I regularly encounter.
I requested from the ‘Find Intervals’ function that it locates a 3m interval. The first 3 minutes of the ride are clearly a distinct interval (marked A) but the interval found is clearly part of another larger 10m interval (B). I can see no way to easily find and highlight the 7 distinct intervals seen on the screenshot below. I’d have to go and add 7 intervals and edit start and end times of each. Thanks.

Similarly in the same activity, I request that a 20 minute interval is found (obviously between points C and D), but it’s detecting a 20m segment (marked E) which includes an entire 10m segment and part of a larger 15m segment.

You need to start with the longest, highest power intervals first and use the “Exclude intervals” checkbox to avoid selecting existing intervals:

Is there a possibility to split the acitivity in a specific amount of intervals? For example I have a 120m acitivity und want to make 60x2m intervals out of it, so not based on the “best” 2m intervals in the acivity but exactly based on time (and maybe distance, like split it in fixed 1km intervals). Independent from used laps during recording of the activity. Thank you!

> This is a follow-up post regarding intervals in Intervals wink Getting your intervals from an activity can be done in several different ways: Intervals can detect efforts in a data-stream following an algorithm. This is in fact how Intervals started out at the very beginning, hence its name. Efforts can be detected from Power, HR, pace. This is an automatic process and the algorithm will in most cases find intervals from a single uninterrupted stream of data. This can look a bit chaotic if …

@david please, can you help me understand why the intervals found show a different value than the interval field? Example in the screenshot. I see 6:38 in the pace found but 5:02/km in the interval field.
In case needed, activity id is: i103970848. Thanks!
