Strava visibility update: Coaching is ok!

I have just had a call with Strava about the changes to the Strava API terms and conditions, specifically the requirement to only show Strava activities to the athlete who performed the activity. Strava’s intention was to avoid the situation where someone grants access to their data to someone else (e.g. accepts a follow request on Intervals.icu) and then forgets about it leading to privacy problems much later.
