There’s no API I think.
Check this thread, I suggested using Suunto as the middle man as a workaround.

Synching workouts with Hammerhead Karoo 2.0

not sure if this is being pursued, a workaround due to a recent Suunto/Hammerhead collaboration enabled sync from Hammerhead workouts to Suunto, and then you can send that workout to i.i from Suunto, just in case it is worth a try

Yes using Suunto works well.

I use Suunto. It eliminates any current and /or future Strava problems
