Feature Request - Garmin FTP Usage

Hi David,

I was wondering if it would be an easy option to implement the usage of Garmin detected FTP as the FTP setting for Intervals.ICU, similar to how the Garmin VO2max and HRV are automatically uploaded?

Is that written to the fit file? Can you see it (likely in the session message) on fitfileviewer.com? If so it should be easy to pull in using a custom activity field.

I’ll have a look. I only just discovered the fit file fields/codes yesterday and haven’t quite worked it all out yet.

I think this is it. I don’t know what to do with it though.

I don’t see anything there that looks like a detected FTP. I also downloaded the fit file for your ride on Monday and had a look at that and didn’t see anything.

I’m seeing a ‘threshold_power’ value in the session section of the original fit file for this activity of mine: intervals.icu/activities/i13875970

It also seems to have value in my nordic ski files.

Thanks. I missed that.

I added a “Threshold Power” custom field to your setup. You need to do Actions → Reprocess File to see it for existing activities.

Now I just need to work out if I can make that value automatically change the FTP setting within Intervals.
