Compliance activity field

Simply drag and drop on the calendar. Click on the activity and drag it over the planned workout to pair them.

If there was no workout scheduled, but athleted has done some activity I would suggest yellow question mark icon instead of 0% and red icon. Then I could choose Ignore like now, or still “Approve” (which gives somewhat different green icon, maybe plain green without check mark), or “Its bad”. All manual decisions would be without any percentages. Like if I approve its not 100% green, but just green.

Several athletes does not have linked workouts in the past, even if they have done them correctly, and have both workout and activity at 0% Red. My guess that athlete have done it by memory, not using garmin workout feature. Am I right?

Overall it feels better than it was before, even if that means manually re-checking several months of data for each athlete.

Commutes should not get any compliance calculation, or Options checkbox not to include them.
If they are hidden from calendar they are still visible in Compliance tab.

I like the yellow question mark etc. idea. I will see what I can do about that.

The linking sometimes doesn’t work depending on the timing of incoming activities. It doesn’t matter how the athlete performed the workout. Next time you see an activity that should have paired with a workout please send me a link before fixing it.

Thanks, sent you chat message with profile link.

i did an unplanned workout yday and saw this yellow question mark. I truly dislike it. It somehow gives (me) a negative connotation… an x 0% means like - you had no workout, yet you did something. vs an ? 0% is like “WTF man!”

But I’ll live… (Feature Rich is good and) now that I know this is where that feature originated from…

i didn’t want to make a new bug thread. But there is something wrong with the load calculation when the workout is not connected with the activity. I can’t reproduce the bug, but after reprocessing my activities I’ve found out that some were not connected and if the workout was not connected to the activity the load was counted for both (so probably fitness graph and all other metrics taken form TSS too) I reconnected all so now they are ok and if I disconnect them manually the load is counted correctly.

BTW I think Load could be divided into two categories:Load and Target Load. Target for all planned workouts, Target fitness etc. Load for all done activities, actual fitness etc.
It would give possibility to some nice graphs like:target/planned fitness/load vs actual fitness/load etc.

You can click the yellow question mark on the activity detail page and make it green if doing that unplanned workout was the correct thing to do.

I have implemented this.

That shouldn’t happen. The fitness update is done asynchronously when edits etc. are made so it is possible it was just a timing issue.

@david
You can check my activity on 6th sep (yesterday). Don’t know why they did not connect automatically (planned workout was scheduled days ago and I just did a ride today). But activity is at 24 TSS, planned workout at 49 TSS and my LOAD graph shows my daily load as 73 for that day.

I leave it unconnected for now. If I would connect and disconnect (like I did with prev workouts) the bug will disappear.

EDIT:
Tried to make a photo to show you it more clearly and now it got even more funny. I have two graphs showing same thing (“load” and “TSS” on the right are same Load graphs) and one is showing correctly 24 and one is off and is showing 73. The only difference is: the correct one has one filter “Activity type” bike, virtual bike, the wrong one has no filters at all.
I’m lost

EDIT2:
It is ok, now. I did nothing

Your planned workout on the 6th didn’t pair with the activity automatically because the actual load (24) was less than half of the planned load (49). This is to stop a morning commute or warmup pairing with the planned workout.

The load for “today” includes unpaired planned workouts. There was sometimes an inconsistency between the load for today on the /fitness page (calculated server side and included unpaired planned workouts) and the calendar (calculated client side and sometimes excluding them after some pairing/unpairing). I have fixed that.

The server recalculates load and fitness so on for athletes with unpaired planned workouts that are now in the past. This is done every 60 minutes.

I also removed the option to not show workouts as paired on the calendar. Not a lot of reason for that and just adds more complexity.

I have added options to hide commutes and sports with no planned workouts or races:

The “question mark” sport (other) is now split by activity type.

I’m gonna be that guy, but I actually really liked the fact that it calculated compliance over the whole day, not matter how many activities. For example, today I had to split one workout into 2 activities, so of course it counts either 20% or 80% compliance, even if I did the whole thing correctly. Do I still have the possibility to see it as before ? :innocent:
Same will happen for races for example, with separate activites for warm up, race, cool down.

Unfortunately I can’t do that. It was easy when compliance was all calculated client side in the app but its tricky to do server side. For the race example you can just set the warmup/cooldown to ignore compliance or capture planned workouts for those.

Good morning, I don’t understand why my compliance is always underestimated, usually yellow.
For example, the other day I planned 50 minutes in z2 pace.
I ran 50 minutes, 82% of which in Z2 pace (the rest a little above and a little below), 90% in Z2 power and 92% in Z2 HR. But the compliance after the run is only 57%, I don’t understand what this is based on as it should be close to 100%.
Thanks

How is your setup of priority of training load calculation?
Look in /Settings
If you use pace, and want to compare, then make sure the order is Pace, HR, Power.

Then check you Pace settings, as these can be different to your HR and Power settings.

Fantastic Gerald!
Everything looks better now.

I really thank you for the effort you put into this forum, you are great.

I was wondering is it possible to open Unplanned Activity radio button dialog box directly from calendar if you click directly on yellow question mark. That would be helpful.

Not sure I understand what you’re asking for. It’s only 2 clicks away now. Click on the date (or the + icon on top) and click on the activity type you want to add.

It is not that I want to add activity, but with new color coded feature that shows whats inside workout sometimes it is ok to change yellow question mark icon to green or red with single click without opening completed activity in calendar.
